The Packing of Flower CartonsFor ease of unpacking, growers that are sending flowers to the auction in cartons should pack the lines in reverse order to that on the docket i.e. If five lines are packed in the carton, then line five should be packed at the bottom and line one at the top. It is also a good idea to place newspaper sheets between line varieties when packing, especially when the variety is the same for two or more lines. If you are sending two or more cartons, it would also be a good idea to number the boxes (i.e. box 1/4 , box 2/4, box 3/4, box 4/4) and place the docket on top of box one (labelled "docket") or alternatively, place a docket in each box. |
