Established in 1987 as an independent, industry-owned company, UFA was created to offer an alternative to the then, antiquated and monopolistic means for marketing flowers.

Owned, managed and strongly supported by a collective of commercial flower growers, UFA has established clear guidelines of a company that is completely committed to the long-term survival of the auction system as the best and fairest method of flower marketing.

The establishment of UFA provided an immediate level of competition which ultimately produced impetus leading to improvements within the auction-system arena.

This ‘competition’ has enhanced market growth and greatly assisted with the creation of an ever growing environment of professionalism and efficiency.

Today, UFA is recognised as the leading supporter of the flower industry – from the aspects of both Producers and Purchasers – and as an organisation totally dedicated to maximising profitable opportunities for all involved in our industry.
